Parts Management
Parts management is one of the most important features in COFASO. This is where you define cables, substructural elements, and parts associated with symbols inserted during the drawing process.
Product Tree
The product tree displays all definable part groups and the elements required for those groups.

Navigation Tips
- Press a letter key (e.g. T) on the product tree to jump to the first part starting with that letter. Press again to find the next match.
- Press the left arrow key to collapse the current branch. Multiple presses close more branches.
Creating a New Part
Click [New] while on an existing part to optionally use it as a reference. The system will ask whether to copy properties from the current part. If you click [Yes], all properties are copied — you must then change the Part code to avoid a duplicate error.
Device Properties

| Type of function | Related to device functionality (informational only) |
| Designation | Description of the device — used in automatic device lists (3 lines) |
| Model number | Complements the Part number for variants of the same part (e.g. different colors) |
Multi-Language Text Fields
All text fields except Part number support multi-language entries using the following prefixes:
